The rear bumper got nicked in the parking lot today. Arghh!

Now there is a two inch long scratch that has
gone down to the black stuff under the paint.

Any tips on how best to touch this nick up? I am going to the dealer on Friday, so I will at the minimum, pick up some touch-up paint and some clearcoat to see what I can do.

Do you think the dealer can help me out? I'm crushed that my practically new car is already nicked! I know, I know, get over it. It still is a bummer.

Jim Ellis in Atlanta set me up with a someone who did a great touch-up repair while I had the car serviced. It was only $100 and looked great. Hopefully your dealer has a similar contact.

I have used this "How To" article from www.carcareonline.com to repair some nasty chips on my hood. Just be aware that it is a slow process to properly fill in the damaged areas. I used Audi touchup paint and ordered the Meguiar's sanding block and 3M Glaze from Care Care Online. Go slow and be patient.
