I pressed the button on the master key remote to lock the allroad. Light markers blinked twice and a audible chirp was given. The security system activated soon after. The issue is why am I able to open the rear lid when all four doors are not able to be opened? The rear lid can be opened by anyone evethough I had locked the vehicle. Why does the allroad locking system work this way?

check the key position in the rear lid. Turn it and see how it effects the situation.

on mine it's in the vertical position. perhaps this explains why my rear lid can be opened after the car is locked. would you gentlemen all agree that this is how it works?

ask what position is your rear lid lock in? Horizontal or vertical?

just like all four doors the lid will not budge open. So strange.
