Has anyone used the SD card slots in the Nav + unit to play music? I have two questions: can one use a card bigger than 250MB (which is what the manual suggests is the limit) and has anyone come up with an easy way to manage the music transfer using iTunes?

Thanks

Very few allroads have shown up with the DVD-based Nav+ system... and questions like this just make us wth the original Nav+ system cry!

I'm using a 512mb one in mine, and plan on buying a 1GB card this weekend, will let you know if that works!

.......with about 20 albums/CDs on each. I haven't used the ipod in the car since I got the new AR about three weeks ago.

There is no easy way to move music from i-tunes to mp3 format. Remember, i-tunes converts everything to Apple's proprietary format. The best work-around I know of is to burn the tunes you want from i-tunes to a CD, and then rip the music from the CD to mp3 files on your computer (or straight to the SD card)....
Hope that helps.....

Not to be the contrarian here, but iTunes can rip your cd's to MP3 or to AAC (apple's proprietary format). The only time you are required to use AAC is when you purchase downloaded music from the itunes music store. And even then, there is a "Convert Selection to MP3" command in itunes. So it's really not too bad at all.
