View Full Version : Cargo cover rattles like crazy. Any advice.

Anything to quiet this thing down besides removing it alltogether. I had the exact same problem on my A4 Avant.

I never got one, being the recipient of a used allroad w/ a 3rd row seat (and an innatentive original owner I guess).

Seriously, how about trying some electrical tape where the cover meets its retaining bracket? May dampen things down enough (if that's where the rattle's coming from that is). Other suggestions would be to listen to where the rattle's coming from, and then strategically placing some velcro strips (fuzzy side only) where things are bouncing around.... but just ideas, as I don't have one to examine... :-)

...the tailgate when you go over bumps? If the latter, use a piece of foam weatherstrip and affix to cushion the noixe...about $3 from Home Depot.
