Opinion? dan farmer 12-30-2004, 09:10 PM I prefer the 605 gone and run 18" 245's. I'm 402'd a half-inch or so. -df steinline 12-31-2004, 05:30 AM df, you can fit 370mm brakes under your winter 17's. with all your mods, guess at hp? uber_ar 12-31-2004, 10:51 AM dan farmer 12-31-2004, 12:42 PM The 370's fill the 18's to the brim. Wheel weights had to be moved to clear the calipers. Wide 18's make crummy snow tires, but I really wanted the giant brakes. Yes, it's unnecessary and silly. The calipers are held to the bracket with 2 radially-oriented bolts, with varying bolt and spacer length for different rotor sizes. Since changing rotor size is so easy, I rationalized that a second set of rotors was cheaper than a new set of snow wheels. Case closed. The 332's fit under the snow wheels, of course. As for powah, I'll get it back on a dyno in the next month or two. GIAC S-chip (old program) and cat-back exhaust gave 240 at the wheels on a local Dynojet. I'll post the results, for sure. I'm hoping for a number that starts with a 3 when using race gas, and high 2's on 94 octane. -df dan farmer 12-31-2004, 12:43 PM |
