Has anyone seen sideguard airbags in the new A4? Do they take up headroom or alter the interior appearance? How about the A4 factory xenons? Bright enough? Nice enough? I ordered a car in June with these options but I have given up trying to get info on delivery from the dealer. Maybe somebody else's car has arrived with these options?

In my S4, I cannot find that the sideguard HPS takes up any room, and cannot even find exactly where it pops out from. There is a chance that some headroom has been sacrificied together with what I'm told is a larger sunroof (maybe 1" bigger?), but I can't tell because the S4's sport seats sit so much higher that I can't distinguish the loss of headroom from them or if there is really any from sideguard.

I really like the xenons, but they really only illuminate the road, not objects higher than a few feet above the road -- this allows for their extreme intensity without blinding the eyes of other drivers because the lights don't shine that high on level roads. There is a purplish border light between the white light projected and the dark that is not illuminated, however.
