Anyone have any intel on current loyalty money, lease deals, etc. on the allroad with the 4.2 V8? I've got an '03 2.7T with Tiptronic (which is mandatory for the wife - no, don't even go there, I've tried several times to teach her how to drive a stick and even had a good friend take a crack at it, just to eliminate the spouse factor - it ain't gonna happen) but I can't stand the way the transmission shifts (lag, lurchy, etc.) and I understand it feels much better in the 4.2 (it certainly feels better in my buddy's S6 Avant). I've only got about 7,200 miles on my 2.7T, so I'm hopeful I can get out of it without taking too much of a bath. Anyone know whether Audi will let someone assume my lease?

Audi will let someone take over your lease, though you technically have contingent liability (if someone, say, doesn't turn the car in you could be held liable). That's how I got my current 2.7t. The transfer fee is only $100 if I recall.

New Allroads have great lease deals, $1000 owner loyalty, really high residuals. By way of example, I got a lease quote the other day on an AR 2.7t and an A6 S-line, and the A6 was $50 more a month even though it stickered for less.

Shoot me the info on your car (# of miles, # of months remaining, paymnet) - I may be interested.
