Is a straight K&N drop in panel filter better? What about Cold Air Intake? CAI makes DV sound really, really cool.

CAI is good, but expensive...

Seriously. Oiled foam filters are not a good idea upstream of a MAF, as far as I'm concerned. Tiny potential gains, big potential damage. Your car already has a CAI, too. Air is drawn in from above the radiator support.

it was a pretty loud little sucker and it made the "ppppffffssttt" sound between shifts under load. It was kind of fun.

Just curious though....stock intake and stock filter should not be changed? I mean it seems that the stock intake is restrictive, even though it pulls air in from the front. Isn't there anything to do to increase the surface volume of the filter without damaging anything?

search s4 board for darinintake and you will see, i had a pic of where i cut my airbox in picposter but must have threw it out.

i do hear my diverter valves only when windows are open(which means other people hear it which is what most people are worried about) and i do have hyperboost valves so i am thinking it's the hole but it could be the metal valves although it's a pssss sound i hear not a metallic sound. guys on s4 board claim 5 hp from hole in box

I do have the S Flo and was wondering if any gains would be seen with the Darinintake?

I haven't had any problems with my S Flo to this point and am always looking to pick up some more cheap power.

i cut a hole in airbox but didn't do the screen(don't really see the need). a mod that s4 has that allroad doesn't is vents cut in wheel wells in front of tires for air to escape from the back side of intercoolers. ex-PzKW Kommandant has bought rs6 wheel well liners(which are loaded w/slots) to install on his allroad and hopefully he will post results but he said they are an easy install and should help w/cooling.<ul><li><a href="http://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1190670.phtml">link to s4 board post</a></li></ul>

Catback is finally on. Mbc set @ 19psi. Ordering high flow cat and cams today. Bigger turbo in about a month. 8^O

Isn't Mitsu bringing another version of the EVO here, the NR or MR or RV or something like that? I though I read something about it in Automobile.
