The service department at Newport Auto Center is totally overbooked at the moment. Their one Audi technician has been on leave for a week and a vast backlog of cars has ammased in the lot. If you need more than an oil change it would seem wise to look elsewhere for a few weeks.
On another note, the rental car policy there really sucks. They attempted to force me to pay $12 a day for a Dodge Neon. No thanks! I will wait for the backlog to subside.

I live 5 minutes from there. I would not even think about buying or servicing from there. One time I went there to test drive an A4 and they had the other dealers sitting around and chit chatting and they told me that no Audi dealer was around to show me the car or take a drive. That was ridiculous! These guys were sucking their thumbs and no one was available to take a drive? I think they were intimidated by my 92 white Accord!!!
Newport Beach is not the city to buy a new car. Also stay away from Sterling BMW for those of you interested in BMW's. They suck the big one too!
Alex B.
I work about 5 mins away from Newport Audi which is far too alluring!
I agree about the sales staff, quite appaling. Mine was a fleet purchase through AutoByTel so I had little choice. That new Rolls looks good but rather expensive at $225K.....

Try Circle Audi in Long Beach; laid back sales practices, and outstanding service; they really know the Audi!
Cheers
Pat

was GREAT to deal with. Ask for Mark White, the Sales Manager. He will take care of you. I live in Washington State and he ordered a car for me, was very honest, and faxed regular reports on the car...818.785.7111
Kirk

...actually, I found Cameron- service guy - quite friendly. After a brief dicsussion with him on oil changes, I decided that I will definitiely bring my avant there. You just have to plan ahead so you have their Audi tech scheduled.
With regards to the snobbish comment, jeeze, the A4 is cheapest car they sell. They sell $180,000 grand 911 turbos and $200k rolls's every day. Swallow the A4 pride... I 'd rather have my car in a shop and around mechanics that work Porsches and Roll's any day. You just have to plan for the audi dude.
I agree, Cameron Newman does seem to be honest and straight talking. However, my car was booked for service 3 weeks ago and the dealership did not have time to service it, despite me being first on the list! So, I did plan ahead but Newport Audi did not!
I am pretty angry with them about this and particulary their attemp to charge me for a rental car. The shuttle bus is also a pain and I was forced to wait 30 mins while the van sat idle in the lot.
Enough moaning!
I actually had a good experience with an audi salesman at Newport. I actually live in San diego, Rob Desantis at Newport gave me an upfront
price, $1500 over invoice. I talked it down to $1200, which is reasonable. The deal took less
than 30 minutes. I was pissed off in san diego,
I spent 3+ hours nogotiating and only got $1000 under MSRP.

People, remember that we're all one big happy VAG auto family now.

I also couldn't get a good deal in San Diego or Carlsbad. I called Newport Beach and agree on a price of $1000 over invoice. Took all of 5 minutes. Drove up to get my car and was treated very well.

Do you have any inventory these days? I gave up on you guys earlier this year when you were only taking orders. If I decide I want the car, I want to see it on your lot NOW!
My purchasing experience was great. Rob Desantis was an excellent salesman and took care of all my requests, no problem.
