Free of charge. I went in to get my license plates and asked the service guys to reprogram my car. It looked like they had a copy of the FAQ about the codes from this website. :) They didn't even hassle me, which I was kind of expecting since I read on someone's website keeping a list of dealers that wouldn't perform the reprogram, that my dealer was one that didn't. I went armed with the Audi Tech. Bull. but didn't need to use it. I'm glad I didn't have to fight for the reprogram. My dealer is the Exchange in Highland park for all you Chicago area people interested.
