I had my insurance agent ask my insurer, Pekin Insurance, if there was a discount for my OnStar package since it can locate a stolen vehicle. He says, "Yes, so we lowered your monthly charge by $15 from $62 down to $47/month". (And thats for extra everything coverage; not bare bones) Registered as a both corporate vehicle and personal use.

Lesson: You must tell your insurer that you have OnStar to get the discount.

Hey, MachineMan! Thanks a lot! I called my insurance company, Geico and asked them. They said that factory installed vehicle recovery systems are good for a 5% discount!!! LoJack DOES NOT QUALIFY! But, OnStar DOES! My insurance is less than $100 per month, so it's about a $5 discount, but, hey... five bucks is five bucks, right!?!

Thats $300 savings over 5 years. Almost enough for a set of tires for ya (if they last that long).
