Well, Todd at AWE was shocked at the overall appearance of the install -- he said it was one of the worst he has seen. Problems found:
1. vacuum line to left turbo loose -- they fixed it but the problem still persists.
2. all cooling lines to and from the turbos are leaking. Cooling lines at the turbos and oil lines at the oil pan which has a lot of sealant around the connections indicating that the mechanic screwed something up and they just jury rigged it.
3. rear seal on the trans is now leaking.
4. Heat shield near the right turbo is not attached properly. Could be hanging up the wastegate arm causing the wastegate to malfunction.
AWE did not even dyno it. They went through the warm up and my ar started acting up. The actual boost was spiking off the charts. They burnt a stock chip and tried to install it but the pins on the board and the connections on the chip were not the same. Literally trying to put a square peg in a round hole. Left turbo wastegate is functioning mechanically but they could not get at the other one due my Tip (was in the way). They tried looking with an endoscope but could only see a limited area and were not able to physically check the function of the wastegate.
Todd thinks that my problem is mechanical, as opposed to software, based on what he saw during the warmup on the dyno. But he is not totally ruling out software as he said that an incorrect program could produce unexpected results, as what I am experiencing.
I am going to try and get Bob at Strat to burn a stock chip and send it for me to test, just to rule out software 100%.
Will also be going back to the dealer one more time to have them correct install problems. Not willing to pay twice for something that should have be done right the first time. Once this is complete, they will not see me anymore.
Pending when I can get appointments, I will post results for everyone.
