well, i finally found the dealer to get my 03 ar from, so i picked it up this weekend. after trying to get a well loaded ar for 3k drive off and 500/month with barely any success i decided to give everyone is southern california one last chance to hook me up before going to the best i could get at the time.
called up metro audi in san diego and told them what i wanted. they had only one silver ar loaded with everything but nav. never thought they would do it, but the car had been on their lot for over 100 days and they just wanted to get rid of the car. overall the dealersihp was awesome- they were nice, honest and made things as easy as possible. if you go there, talk to chris sandborn, the internet sales mgr.
the deal:
2003 allraod (light silver) with premium, coldweather, bose, parktronic, telematics, tire pressure monitor, and 17" twin spokes for $3k total drive off and $500/month (which includes sales tax of 7.75%). basically, they made $2.44 over invoice (i.e. front end gross).
after 2 days all i can say if there is a better vehicle out there... i haven't seen it yet :-)
