Hello,
I recently read an article on the Audi a4.org web site under the FAQ section where you
mentioned your success with the $200 Neuspeed chip upgrade for your A4.
I called Neuspeed today and they said that the upgrade is not for an A4 with an automatic
(Tiptronic transmission) they said its for a 5 speed only. I mentioned your article and they
said that the chip will perform well in stick mode, but when in automatic / drive mode) the
shift points and kick downs under acceleration may be very different / weird, and not
supported.
They are not going to make a chip in the near future for the A4 Tiptronic. But I was
impressed with the results in the FAQ section. My question is "how is it behaving in
automatic mode, or do you only drive it in stick mode?)
I would like to upgrade mine but I am concerned, could you or anyone who has done this
upgrade on an A4 automatic please comment.
Thanks,
Jeff S
