And no, there's not a single mention of the allroad. ;-) Not even when discussing the lineage of the 4-level air suspension.<ul><li><a href="http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=4&article_id=6693">Pike's Peak in C&D</a></li></ul>

I will definitely get one if it comes adequately powered...(the 500 HP twin-turbo is not gonna happen)...it will replace the S6 as the family hauler!

The twin turbo 4.2L FSI V8 is a four cam 32V design, not a four cam 40V design. An engine with FSI (direct fuel injection) is smaller, lighter weight and more space efficient than an engine with a more conventional fuel injection system. Because of this, 5V cylinder heads are too big for the cylinders of an engine with direct fuel injection. However, the cylinders of an engine with direct fuel injection are large enough for 4V cylinder heads. That is why the twin turbo 4.2L FSI V8 is a four cam 32V design (with 4V per cylinder) and not a four cam 40V design (with 5V per cylinder). As for this engine not making it to production, I believe that it will (producing about 500 hp and 472 lbs/ft of torque; both estimated guesses), in the form of a high performance RS7 (how sweet it would be). The regular versions will be the A7, of course.
