Just curious, if the stuff got dented, can it be repaired the same as any other part of the car would or would you have to replace the entire peice?

Future reference incase it ever happens, as I have the Allroad trim on my A6 sedan and live in the city.

once it is folded/creased (as opposed to curved or dented slightly), that's it...there is something about the molecular make-up (I used to know this but it has disappeared to an unused corner of my pea-sized brain) that once it is creased, some bonds are broken and it cannot be bent back without it cracking.

I'd say you'd have to get new ones...
