I am planning to buy a 2000 A4 1.8 Santorin Blue with Ecru leatherette interior, and am trying to decide whether to select the ecru/blue or ecru/onyx dashboard/panel color. Any comments from anyone who has seen or owns this configuration. I've only seen pictures of the ecru/blue.

I think it is the best looking combo for the A4! I ordered the ecru leather with blue piping (I don't think it is available anymore) and get so many compliments. I even had someone at a stop light telling me how cool it looked. The Santorin is hard to keep clean, but when it is you'll be real happy you chose it.
Besides, do you want to mix/match three colors? Just a question.

I saw the Santorin Blue with the Ecru/Blue interior combination in the showroom, and thought it was one of the nicest combinations I had seen. If I had more time to clean my car, that would definitely be my color combination choice. I think there are a few people with pictures in the archives of that color combination.

I have the Santorin w/ ecru leather & piping. I always loved the piping, and get even the occasional comment from the guy next lane at the traffic light. I think there is no nicer combo, even tho the santorin is indeed a bitch to keep clean.

You know the feeling when something seem just right? There is no decision to make. I have Ecru/blue like the folks above and it is fine. BTW, I don't think it is so hard to keep the car clean, (except for the ....brake dust).

If you go with the ecru/blue interior (which I do recommend) you still get black stuff.

All the items you control or touch is still black (probably a cost savings measure, but it does look sharp).

I have blue dash, carpets and panels (with ecru inserts/arm rests), but I have black:

steering wheel
shifter
stereo
buttons
vents
cluster
emerg brake leaver
ash tray

I love it - I would choose no other
