Everyone at work thinks they can beat me with their suburbans and chevys and dodge rams. I hate those things. They tail you on the highway and scare the hell out of you because yout hink they're gonna scratch your nice Audi, and then when they're in front of you they spit rocks at your winshield and chip paint off your car. I'll never buy a truck.....

even in my 115hp Jetta. Those people just blow both of my A4 and Jetta away on the back straight with their pushrod V8 or V10 on expressway; however, when I reached the on-ramps or off-ramps, its a completely different story.
Those trucks' live rear axles simply doesn't live up to be a "sports car" as those drivers thought their trucks to be. Imagine a Dodge Ram 2500 Magnum V10 4WD: long as a bus, drives like a Titanic and center of gavity as tall as a semi raced a 2.0 liter 115hp VW Jetta automatic in an expressway on-ramp into the freeway?
As for sport-utility vehicle, I have raced a Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer with a soccer dad during the weekend on an expressway's damn traffic light. My stock 1.8T lost a big time cause the next section of expressway before the signal into my area is a back straight. That V8 just shoots away. However, as we both raced into the city street from the next signal the Expedition lost big time with lots of brake fade and rolls on the outside lane.

i have driven my boss's past and present grand cherokees 5.1 and 5.9 liter, both haul ass especially the 5.9, cant handle for crap though, the 5.1 can be handled with a chipped 1.8 the 5.9 comes down to driving skills

Then I began my Jedi training. Since then I have become a Jedi knight. My training has paid off with the purchase of my Nogaro Blue lightsaber (a/k/a an S4). Now, I don't even fear an F150 Lightning. With patience I may soon become a Jedi Master by adding a chip to my lightsaber.

I can smoke my brother´s V8 ford explorer anyday of the week with my stock A3 1.8t, off the line the difference is not that much, but as soon as we hit a curve or some traffic... he´s long gone
I don´t know if there is a lot of difference between the A3 and the A4 in acceleration times because of the weight, but i suppose they´re basically the same.
So now you can go beat any explorer you see out there.

Maybe you´re right, but I bet that if you had an audi when you were young you would have raced it too.
