I've got tire issues; the allroad has 39,500 miles, and two sets of tires are history. What experience are forum users having ? The latest set were Pirelli W-rated allroad P6's; handle superely but will last less than 15k.
Can anyone recommend a great (not just good) extended warranty. The dealer (Langan in Albany, NY) says there are some bad ones out there but can't specify.
My driving is mostly highway, with a trip and I average 19 mpg; range 345 miles between fill-ups.

Can't help you out on the extended warranty.

I think I get about 20 mpg on highway, so you are not far off. 13K on my Goodyears, they are maybe a bit harder than Pirellis, but will probably wear out by 20-25K at latest. I think I'll try SO3s next, have read positive comments about them on the forum.

My wife and I drive mountain roads (read: lots of twisties) and barely got 10K out of the original set of H-rated Wranglers. The W-rated set on the car now looks like they'll only last maybe a few thousand more, although they did seem to handle better. I figure I'll try a set of Pilot Sport A/S (in 245?) next time and see how they compare.
As for the MPG, we get just over 17, again, due to the fact that most of the mileage is through the hills. Longer trips we get 20+ at 75-80 mph.

Though I like the general character of the allroard tires I am planning to go with a summer / winter set from this point on. The mileage is not a big issue; just curious.
