My best friend just got a Black/Grey 1.8TQTip which is obviously a beautiful car but I have a Black/Black 1.8TQTip also. We go to the same high school and the first day he got his car we parked right next to each other which was kind of funny. The only things that set our car's apart from each other are the different color leatherette and the wheels. (I got rid of my 8 spokes for 17 inch Avantgarde wheels.)<p>This question is totally off the subject: I just called the 2 dealers in my area for a price on an alignment for my car and the dealer where I bought the car said it was 63.00, which sounded pretty cheap, and the other dealer said they would do it for free since it was under warranty even though I put 17 inch wheels on.(It has been pulling ever since I put the wheels on.) Has anyone else gotten a free alignment with their aftermarket wheels?<p><br>Jake
The pulling may be because of differences in tire pressure between your front tires.<br>

That's a pretty dead giveaway that your change added something to throw off the "feel", like uneven pressure (see below post) or a bad tire/rim.<p>Not to sound "punitive", but the dealer would actually have the right to charge for whatever happened, I would think.<p>If you are experiencing the "dartiness" and pulling from side to side that results from adding wider, lower profile tires, that appears to be a fact of life on this car, and the reason why German cars prefer "skinnier" tires: Straight line stability generally suffers when wider wheels are added. It's definitely noticeable with my 225/50s instead of the stock 205/55s!

Who said I was complaining, I was just pointing out that I was no longer unique with my A4 and I thought I would share my story with the board. I don't know anyone else who has the same exact car and just happen to be best friends so I thought this story was kind of special IMO. I am a very grateful person and I totally know how lucky I am to be driving an A4.<p>Jake<p>
