He couldn't guarantee that their S4/A6 product would fit the allroad. Gentleman I spoke with said that there is an allroad in the area and he could try to contact the owner to see if the car could be used for "research" (my word not his!). Stoptech would need to take some measurements of the allroad's braking system and compare it to the S4/A6. He felt if the measurements were the same that in theory they should fit each other but he would be "hard-pressed" (again my word not his!) to recommend their S4/A6 setup without first testing it in real life on the allroad.

As a side note, does anyone know if the 2001 and 2002 allroad brakes are of the 2-piston variety? He asked this specific question and I didn't know.

I also read that the 2002 A6 2.7T have smaller brakes than the 2001, not sure if this is true or how it would affect the 2002 ar.

Bob Lee is the gentleman I spoke with. He is the G. M. and a very up-front kind of guy.

http://www.stoptech.com/</a

I am going in on monday if everything goes ok, with a pre existing kit, then we will probably hit the track on the 23 so if that works out well too the kit may be available by the end of the month I will keep you all posted

Pads and calipers are slightly different between allroad and S4. Both are bigger on the allroad. Hopefully the anchor pins will be in the same place to allow the fitment.

Most likely the S4 kit will fit on the car, if that is the case it is not so experimental. Even if not, I highly doubt that stoptech will send me on my way and begin to sell a kit that isn't quite right for risk of both law suit, and loss of reputation. So I feel pretty confident that this ordeal is not so dangerous. It's not like I am volunteering for the first heart transplant. I think that it should be ok, but thanks for the concerns :^)
