Do any of you have an experience with a loose driver's seat? The seat in my allroad rocks forward and back several inches. The dealer says "they all do that, they're mounted on rubber." But the passenger seat doesn't move like that and I can't imagine why you would even want the driver's seat to move at all.

My driver's seat, and all the others I drove, were solid -- never moved an inch. OTOH, I've got different problems. (See my thread below.) Call a few dealers by phone and see if they concur with your dealer. I wouldn't want my seat to move either.
