Allroad1

Took the allroad from EastCoast to Midwest and back last week (2000miles). Went through slush, ice, snow and cold. Performance was supurb and very comfortable even during a 12 hour drive on return.
Oil usage still not evident, no radio skip, no fuel gauge skip, no windshield distortion. Pirelli's on twin spokes perfomed just fine in 6 inches of heavy snow and slush, no wheel packing evident.
Average mpg at 65-69mph was 19.8 on the way out and was 20.1 on the way back mostly on cruise control. The car was fairly loaded. allroad holds the road well in very brisk winds.
I had the back seats down on the return trip for additional space, it was just a little awkward moving and stowing the luggage cover mechanism. The rear seats are of substantial mass when compared to those in all suv's I have had and tested, takes more effort to put them back in place, but it is not difficult.
Had the Valentine1 and it helped a lot, even gave time for the laser ambushers. I will want to hardwire it soon.
Only two gripes; the cupholders need work, and the below the door trim will dirty trousers when you swing and step out as my calves touch it and it collects the dirt from foul weather. (just keep a wipe close by on exit)
Total mileage about 6200 very happy miles.
Email if you have any questions.
