I'm expecting my allroad next month and asked the dealer about stongard installation. The actual kit cost (for both stongard and the light covers) is about $320 but the dealer wants another $430 <b>just</b> for installation (total = $750). This seems a little excessive to me.

What did your installation cost? Is this out of line?

I sm paying $375.95 for a full kit and $72.00 to have it installed at a tinting dealership. I am also getting best quality tint allround including installation for an additional $190. Yes, you are getting ripped off. Call and find an authorized dealer in your area... I am getting my work done in Tacoma at Rainer Tint...

Thanks for the info. Since I live on the Southern Oregon coast I might just wait and make a visit to Tacoma in the spring (have friends in Seattle to see). When you have the work done, please post your impressions of the results.

Incidently, the Stongard web site says the list price for the full kit is $257.95 and for the Light kit is $59.95.

Yep, I know the list price. Problem is getting it done by someone... that is where the mark up comes from... So in reality, the install would really be 125+72... or 200 bucks... I'd rather have someone that is experienced do it for me. Rainer Tint # is 253-474-8021 .. I'll post pix on the A6 and this site after xmas...
