RLR, I'm also in NNE and just put down a deposit for the same setup as you (except rear airbags in place of phone) but my two local dealers both have consistently stuck to MSRP. Who's giving you $2500 off?

I stopped by the dealership this evening and saw they have raised the prices to MSRP. I guess I got my order in just in time.

I was offered an allroad with $47850 MSRP at $1200 less. After a little negotiating, we agreed on MSRP less $2200, all this over the phone after placing a request on Autoweb. The dealer is in Ohio.

I posted this elsewhere (on page one of the forum), but I just paid $1459 over invoice on a '01 allroad. Used the tools from the www.fightingchance.com website (cost $24). The dealer where I test drove the car wanted $47,350 for the car, but I got it for $44,488 and this car has the rear airbags, the higher priced car did not. Remember, never negotiate from MSRP, negotiate from invoice.

Quotes on the car ranged from 2.5% over invoice to 10.8% over invoice to MSRP (which is 12% over invoice). Save yourself some money, go the fightingchance.com, use their techniques and you will get them competing against each other leaving you with more beer money!
