Well, it's been many, many moons since Johny Law saw fit to issue me a citation (10+ years). Yesterday on Grand, just west of Halsted a city officer was shooting radar. This I've never seen. She got me for 47 in a 30. I also like that they take your license away on the spot and send it back once you've paid/pleaded.

I know none of you have ever had a ticket, but if you did, would you:

A. Pay the fine, attend the driver's ed class (maybe one of our events would count!), and no change in insurance rates

or...

B. Show up for court and hope the officer doesn't appear?

I'm leaning towards A, but could use some Illinois legal insight.

And buy a V1.

Online traffic school is available in most cases, as long as it's your only offense in the last year and it's not 25 mph over the limit or something like that.

Just hanging out! I hit it turning onto Grand from Halsted to clear the intersection, stayed on it for about 5 seconds and then started to decelerate. I saw the car and thought I'd be quiet and slow by the time I caught up to her. I never expected that she was shooting radar in that area. I expect in on LSD, but not West Town...Oh well.

in front of Clark & Barlow across from office depot I guess trying to nail people coming down off the bridge and through the first light. So obviously there must be a concerted effort to slow people down coming over the bridges both ways.
