Anyone with leatherette experienced any problems or discovered something they don't like about it after having lived with it for a while.

How does it hold up??

It's suppose to wear better than leather and looks pretty good too with those small holes on it. Only bad thing is like leather, in the summer, it can be a bit hot, but it seems to airate better than leather. Cloth seats are still the best though. I would ahve liked those better (but they wear faster).

I have leatherette in my 96 Audi. Looks like new, and does not crease nor tear easily. I have friends with leather, over 5 yrs old. In some cases, the leather has worn, discolored etc - usual wear, but looks worn.

I had a 96 2.8 that had 78,000 miles when I sold it, and it had leatherette. I thought it was great! It always looked great. I liked it so much that when I ordered my new 00 2.8 avant the only option I didn't get was the leather seats (and the triptronic).
