View Full Version : LEATHERETTE DURABILITY AND WEAR?? PACHINO 10-04-1999, 04:33 AM Anyone with leatherette experienced any problems or discovered something they don't like about it after having lived with it for a while. How does it hold up?? Mike Kwok 10-04-1999, 04:40 AM It's suppose to wear better than leather and looks pretty good too with those small holes on it. Only bad thing is like leather, in the summer, it can be a bit hot, but it seems to airate better than leather. Cloth seats are still the best though. I would ahve liked those better (but they wear faster). BTW.(friendly comment): DON'T SHOUT SO LOUD!! (use lower case..just in case you didn't know) Mike Kwok Bill Shaffer 10-04-1999, 05:20 AM Don 10-04-1999, 06:58 AM I have leatherette in my 96 Audi. Looks like new, and does not crease nor tear easily. I have friends with leather, over 5 yrs old. In some cases, the leather has worn, discolored etc - usual wear, but looks worn. Don 96 2.8 qm pearl Mike McLaughlin 10-04-1999, 12:29 PM I had a 96 2.8 that had 78,000 miles when I sold it, and it had leatherette. I thought it was great! It always looked great. I liked it so much that when I ordered my new 00 2.8 avant the only option I didn't get was the leather seats (and the triptronic). |
