Symptom: thump thump thump like flat tire from RR of car. Gets quieter under acceleration and coasting. Loudest under steady cruise. Tire is inflated and lug nuts tight. My gut feeling is bearing is about to go. Anyone concur with my diagnosis?

.... wheel or other rotating places. Been doing doughnuts in a parking lot somewhere or drifting the corners? That will pack the snow inside the wheel big time.
