I just noticed when wiping down my car that there was a roughly 3 inch long scratch underneath the right tail light. It's wierd because its soooo deep and otherwise clean. It almost looks like someone took a razor blade or exacto knife and pressed really hard. Im positive it's all the way down to bare metal.
Can anyone recommend a place to get this fixed? We've been going to a particular body shop in my area for our other cars, but after evaluating their work, I have decided they are sub standard.

Any recommendations appreciated.
Thanks,

If you're talking about the 2 inch trim under the taillight, it is made of plastic. You can take it off by first unbolting the tailight then unclipping it.

Grrr can't remember the name of the shop that Steve S had me go to- I have a 3" long scratch in the bumper, looks like someone took a rounded tool & gouged it (it was a protruding screw on the license plate of a minivan actually).....

Steve's out & off the board until Tue/Wed but email him separately, and me, and I'll try to dig up the guy's name.... he has worked on some other's A4's before, he's highly recommended...
