Just enough times to make it mine.

Now a 4 Audi family. At least until this weekend. Not sure if that makes me passionate for the brand or just stupid given the current state of the TT.

I'm sure he can teach you how to drive that beast. <g>

... may have a problem.

You have to get a group photo before the green machine goes to it's new home.

Didn't start making the 225's until 2001. ATC engine code confirms 180 hp.

$3,800 for a 60,000 mile 180 hp used motor on Craigslist. Ouch, this one's gonna hurt.

Congrats Ken - I am certain that you will be content, at least I hope I am certain - lol

Nothin but the best :)

For the extra $500 to get no miles :)

And - a seriously better motor too!

ESB 100 06A 2.0 C8.5 2.0 Liter Short Block - 06A Type - forged Eurospec crank, 8.5:1 forged JE pistons, Eurospec rods $4,500
ESB 100 06A 2.0 C9.0 2.0 Liter Short Block - 06A Type - forged Eurospec crank, 9.0:1 forged JE pistons, Eurospec rods $4,500
ESB 100 06A 2.0 D8.5 2.0 Liter Short Block - 06A Type - forged Eurospec crank, 8.5:1 forged JE pistons, Eurospec rods, Eurospec main bearing girdle $4,900
ESB 100 06A 2.0 D9.0 2.0 Liter Short Block - 06A Type - forged Eurospec crank, 9.0:1 forged JE pistons, Eurospec rods, Eurospec main bearing girdle $4,900

In this section of their site, I see both of ours, an ATC and mine which is the AMU.

I am going this route no matter what, it would be cool if we could get a better price for more engines - :)

Chris might have a contribution to this conversation. Mine is also an AMU motor, any interest in researching group buy pricing on an OEM?

I have one trans swap ahead of me still. Then to do an whole engine etc...eh...would be fun as hell to have that thing in the 4k. Having a whole car for that purpose would be awesome. Strip what I need, part the rest. Could use the hubs to move the 4k over to 5x that would be cool.

I would say don't bother...move on to some things newer. Keep 4k as a beater.
