I will be trying to do most of the acccc autoX events this year. and as some of you know I will be running the Box (Scion xB), and I need some advice. I'm thinking Bradford may have some for me seeing he runs a FWD.

I have added a thick rear sway 1 1/8", and will be adding poly bushings everywhere, but I am going to leave the front one stock. I will be running Koni yellows. I would love to know how stiff of a spring to run and also what size tire ( there is no give in my 35 series with 18" rims) so I'm thinking a stiff 15" or 16" (205mm).

what should I do, thanks in advance, and all input is appreciated.

I would check the VW scene and he SCCA scene. I am sure GRM has an article on setting up a FWD car for autox. You can going to want heavier springs obviously.

but seriusly, look around on the net.

chances are you need to improve your driver more than your car.

there are a HUGE number of tips out there.

remember, lots of guys run cars in stock form in stock classes...

that is going to be the most value for you. A set of cheater autox tires will likely be your best bet for the weight of your car combined with the inability to fully heat up a set of R compounds.

but I'd work on lowering the center of gravity any degree that I could. I know your goal isn't necessarily to win your category, but to improve your times as the season wears on.

I agree with Bryan that tires would make a huge improvement but I'd also be concerned over too much grip on a top heavy vehicle. I'd rather slide than flip. Then again, I could be wrong.

all the coilover systems for it are for big drops, but really won't change how stiff it is,and the biggest standard set up is a 2" drop, I know that will help, and so will the Konis, my big question is rim size the 18's are way to big, but I am not sure what to go with

along with the Driver Ed bubble. Would be fun to see though.
