one year later it has become a reality. My wife and I are moving up there Dec 1 to begin our new jobs and we are looking for a place to live ($1500 max) close to the Loop. River North, Streeterville, Lake View, Lincoln Park, Old Town (even west of the loop may good, though I haven't explored much in that area).

As long as it is close to public transport (train or bus lines) then we are good.

Looking for a good neighborhood for just turned 30 yr olds...not too quiet, not too loud. Anybody that knows of a place please let me know. Oh and a spot to park our A3 will be required!!!

Thanks in advance and I'm sure I will begin meeting many of you in the near future.

the images i have seen of it look great, just not too sure about that far south. I stayed near there a few months back while i was in town (8th ave on michighan), liked the neighborhood a lot, and the tourist aren't around...close to groceries and target!!!

I lived in Chicago for years. Go for Lincoln Park. Best neighborhood in city of Chicago. Many places have parking. Trains to loop close. email me if you have questions.
