The NorCal A4 club had a nice meeting today at the Blackhawk Auto Museum in Danville CA. At last count we had over 50 people attend...at least 35 cars. Jeff Brown was there from Meguiars...(also an nuevo-A4 owner)....Two Nooooogarrrro S4s showed (del and Corey S)....as well as johnkris in his Black TT FWD. The predominant A4 color was SILVER...imagine that...what a surprise! Jeff Brown did a 1.5 hour tech session on car car products...very informative (some secrets he revealed: use expensive 100% cotton terry cloth towels when polishing or waxing, use sponge applicators to distribute the products on your car, carry around quick detailer or equivalent in your car at all times (for bird droppings, etc), only the experienced should use rotary buffers, do not wash car towels with liquid softeners, you can find fine car care products usually at auto paint supply stores). We then got a docent lead tour of the facility....man, there are some nice cars there! Lunch followed...and then the migration down to the parking lot for tons of talk...and more talk...and even more talk.
Oh yeah....we got to park about 25-26 cars in the upper area parking lot in between a big fountain and the entrance to the museum...several nice photos were taken (will post later). The funny thing was that we needed to move our cars to the lower parking lot (all 26 of them) so that the Mazda Miata club could park as we did. The funny part is that only four miatas showed up. :-(
We had to laugh. (no offense meant to any miata owners on this board...we just thought that they might get a better showing than only four miatas).
Pictures and a full write up will follow in the next few days.
If you didn't make it...you missed a nice event.
