I have the gray leather interior in my 1998.5 A4. I have used the Lexol Leather Conditioner on all the leather several times over the last 18 months - but notice that the driver's seat is now much shinier than the passenger's, or the rear. Can I "break" the shine in some way without damaging the leather, or destroying the leather conditioning?

Anyone have any suggestions? //Steve

against the leather surface...since your drivers seat sees the most action it's the most shiny of them all. I don't think you can do much about this.

I have a '96, so the leather has been through a lot of use (80k mileage of sitting in the driver's seat!)
I use Zymöl leather cleaner to get the shine out. This works pretty well. Then I do follow up with the Zymöl leather conditioner to keep them soft. This has kept my seats looking great and the nasty shine at bay.
Best of luck.

You may have to several "cleanings" at once with no conditioning at first. If you have a lot of shine. Follow the directions on the bottle for he cleaning. Then keep up with cleaning, at least your driver's seat, on a regular basis.
