At Friday's ACCCC Board meeting, officers were elected. Marko returns for his third term as President. Under his watch, this chapter has experienced explosive growth in both the number of new members and the number of events offered to membership.
Thanks, Marko for stepping-up for another term!
In other Board elections, Bill Steineke was re-elected vice-president for a second term.
New board member Kyle Crews was elected Treasurer.
New board member Eric Roth was elected club secretary.
Thanks again to some of the new blood for taking on an increased role for the club. Your contribution of hard work will be compensated with more work. Well, that and the thanks and smiles from our members which is the very best part of the job.

While I would think an exception could be made, I can't really speak for Ken. As in life, the key to smooth sailing is communication.

Keep in mind that the dates we offer are not nessicarily our first choices. The venues give us a number of choices and, well sometimes they only give us one or two choices. Would we as a club rather have the event later in April? Perhaps, but for that to take place, ABCC would have to have an available date (which it did not). Then the other consideration is our neighboring chapters and their events. In the past, Grattan has been very popular with the Chicago folk, so it works out best to have a few weeks between events whenever possible.
So tell the kids that Spring break is goung to be a bit shorter because Daddy will be going to the track for three days. After all, you are lord and master at home, so the entire familiy cedes to your wishes, right?

...simple thing to schedule these events. Of course, I understand that.
Problem for me is that we've already bought our plane tickets for Spring Break, with the schedule having been finalized weeks ago. Nothing I can do at this point except enjoy the sunshine and relaxation in Palm Springs that weekend.
I'll suffer through, somehow. ;-)
PS: I'm still bummed about missing the event, though. Same as last year. :-P

to say nothing of the brake pad and tire costs associated with 3 days on the track. Small consolation, but it's the best I can do.
