I'm off to do an install of a Motorola Digital phone. I've seen many comments in the FAQ about the install, but most are old. Does the FAQ actually work? If not, what are the changes?

The circuit info etc. seems to be correct. I hooked up a motorola phone simply to draw power from the switched supply; didn't use the mike and speaker. <p>Note that the plug on the bottom of the armrest simply pushes out. I don't think this was mentioned anywhere in the FAQ, and it took a little nerve to discover it myself.

Thanks for the info. A tech who installs phones for my cellular phone company told me that it could not be done with a digital phone because the digitals are .6 watts, as opposed to the 3.0 watts of analog phones. Does he speak the truth?
