Not sure if this has already been posted, I'm out of town so I haven't been able to follow the board a whole lot lately. But I got a response from Clair Parts about xenon headlamps from the S4 so use A4ers can upgrade. Here is what he said:

"Mark: List on the 3 components, head lamp, igniter and bulb is $860.00 per
side. Internet price is $731.00 per side.

I'm assuming these headlamps would fit a 99.5 no problem, and that it would fit pre-99.5s with some modification. So for about $1500, we could get xenons, worth it?

plus they're going to make them plug and play with the stock connector harness...that by itself is worth some money right there.

99 1.8TMS Lot's of Mods

I bought a set from Lltek and pu them in my early '98 A4 last summer. It was a very easy install, except that the fog lights had to be relocated to the lower air intake (like the new A4s with projector lamps) -- Lltek sells a kit for this along with the lights. I removed the foglight wire from the light lplug and piced up a new ground off it as well, and ran both wires down to the new fogs.

The only modification other than this was to relocate the bottom horn, as ther right foglight interfered with it. This was a little tricky as there is not much room up front in the A4. I am not wholly satifed with this as the horns sometimes bump and a I get a dull bleat out of the car. I am wondering if the later A4 with the separate fogs has a different horn bracket that can be fitted to my A4.

The Lltek kit did not include auto levelers. Does anyone have asource for these?
