Took some pics of one of our A3's today. Thankfully I was able to find my favorite tech in our dark slippery shop to help me post these pictures since my computer skills are limited to spread sheets and memo's with cute little cartoons on them. Hope you all enjoy and feel free to stop in to take a look at the cars in person.

Tim let me drive an A3 yesterday. Thanks Tim. It was a 2.0 FWD 6spd model for
25K. The cloth interior was nice. There were no options on this
car. 25K doesn't include sport, Bose, roof, etc making it pretty
pricey in this segment. The engine is smooth as silk. I put it in
6th at only 40ish and it pulled from near idle speed. I like the TT
inspired dash, but I was bummed that 25K doesn't get you a leather
wrapped wheel or knob. The interior was clearly of a lesser quality
than the A4, but nicer than some other subcompacts . The chassis
was tight and quiet. A quick parking lot Uturn confirmed that non
sport is not for me. The back seat has more leg room than the B5.
The hatch provides tons of utility. I will reserve judgement until
I drive a 2.0 with sport and quattro, but there are many other
options in the 30K neighborhood. Many of those offer greater
performance. The positives are the seats, interior space, utility,
chassis refinement/rigidity, comfort, and quiet insulation. And it's an Audi. I would strongly consider this car.

...and with few Mance's goodies I started getting lots of wheel hop at quicker take off. 3.2L 250hp has too much torque for FWD and that's what kills it.

I don't think #6 is taken

190's now, maybe 200 but doubt it. They will all be passed on to Grandpa though.

I don't think Mitch wants anymore miles on that sexy beast.

Even though I could see the cost cutting in the interior for the A3. The design and craftsmanship held its value. The interior is a simplified version of the TT/Cab.

Sitting in the moonroof equipped A3 at ABCC I thought I will never fit in here with a helmet even with the seat all the way lowered. I guess you could adjust the seat back angle but it would affect driver position. Which is too bad because the A3 dual moon roof is pimp. The A3 without a moonroof had plenty of helmet room to spare. Maybe even enough for a 6-footer. The rear seat leg room is better than a B5 A4 but the head room is terrible and the head rests are in the way and push you forward.

I still need to test drive one to check against my seat time parked car test.

To help you out and drop the price a bit more. I guess he's no willing to work a little harder to get you behind the wheel of that car.

plus it's a 2005 with only 3300K. Just a baby.
