the beast awoke today for the first time and everything is going smooth so far. Going to take some video tomorrow of it on the engine dyno. First untuned pull to only 7K rpm was 426hp to the flywheel on 93 octane. Time to tune tomorrow and also 100 octane tune. Finally some results after a 5 month project.

They had to build one by hand. That ended up being about $300 cheaper than originally though. So it will probably cost about 3500-3800 bucks. Not excited about settling this bill.
I ended up taking it to a couple places and they all said the harness was fried beyond repair. ECS is doing the work and they said they would take pictures of the carnage. I will post up the pictures as they come in. I thought I would treat myself too by having them put on a new exhaust while it's in the shop. So at least I'm excited about something.

It's good that I have all winter to drive the car before an event to make sure everything is perfect.

good driver + fastest audi in Chicago = unfair advantage
I'd like to see you and Slawek duke it out on a track sometime.

I had no:
windshield wipers
headlights
turn signals
cruise control
climate control
I left early on a Saturday morning, Rain-X'd the crap out of the windshield, and it took me about 6.5 hours to get to Akron from Lincoln Park. I had to drive with windows cracked in the rain otherwise my windows would get all fogged up. Luckily I had brake lights and hazards working.

I actually took it back to store for a while until I saved up a couple extra dollars to take care of the repair job. I've got some extra money coming from the holidays so I went ahead and had someone just start working on it. If it was still in the Chicago area I would have been happy to hand it over to you. Once it got to Ohio, I didn't want to hassle with it anymore. Plus I didn't want to waste the time off to go get it again.

LOTS more work to get the entire engine installed in the car with all the oil cooler stuff and dry sump lines. It is going to be really nice when all done and ready for spring! I have some video too of it today on the engine dyno. It sounds crazy!
more updates to come later

Interested to see what you get on the local dynos after obtaining authentic engine dyno numbers. Should give us an idea what real DL loss is.
