have to entertain a female aquaintance tomorrow (saturday) afternoon and evening. Would prefer to do something outside of the usual dinner/movie nonsense. (though bars are certainly not out of the question! ;-)
and yeah...i'll look at metromix too....

There's the Northcenter Oktoberfest - Ralph Covert & The Bad Examples are playing Saturday night (Decent band).
The Printer's Row Speakeasy tour is also on Saturday.
The David Sanchez Quartet is playing at the Jazz Showcase this weekend - not as good as McCoy Tyner next week, but still good music nonetheless.
Johnny Lang is playing at the House of Blues - but the show is sold out (and I'm using my comped tix).
That's all I can come up with off the top of my head. Good luck!

female friend from out of state visiting for 3 days. Damn, this is going to be the longest date of my life.
MetroMix hasn't been that helpful though. What was/is the of the newspaper that was like metromix. I remember my roommate always bringing it home to see what was happening in the city.

I was thinking about that after I posted. Unfortunately, my car has spent so much time in the shop that I don't have any decent pics. Maybe I'll work on that this weekend.

and it certainly isn't in the shop for maintenance. Newp . . . unfortunately, it has spent more time in the shop than it has in my possession (I bought it on July 1st). $14K in front-end collision damage only 3 weeks after buying it is the culprit. It's back in the shop this week for ROUND TWO of them addressing post-repair gripes. *sigh*

Of course, if neither you or your date are into really good live jazz . . . then definitely look elsewhere.

Here's a "temporary one."

She's not THAT pretty right now . . . after the accident. I will admit that the body shop did a GREAT job matching the metallic fleck pearl paint - they are just addressing my laundry list of post-repair gripes now. I hope to have her back in a few days good as new.
I must admit, The NISMO exhaust sounds MEAN, but I still think the R32 exhaust sounds meaner. Maybe with a couple turbos and some test pipes . . . . . .
