Here's the deal:

'99 A4 2.8Q with 5-spoke wheels, manual transmission, black on black leather.

-It has the old headlights without the jeweled look--I thought all '99s have the new headlights.

I noticed that the passenger seat is not electric--how typical is that?

It has a switch for front fog lights, but no front fog light--is that normal?

Check engine light is on, but he says its a fuel vacuum issue that worked itself out and the computer just needs to be reset--what's your opinion on that one?

Other options: cruise, power windows/locks, bose w/6 disc, heated seats, sport wheel (does the sport wheel mean it has the sport package?)

Mileage: 44,000

Other issues: It's a dealer, so I can't get any receipts. Also, it has a small crack in the rear bumper with a few other paint chips. Lastly, the shifter knob seems to rotate when given a twist--is that normal?

What's a reasonable price range for this auto?

99's have 2 peice headlights (non jeweled) 99.5's have jeweled.

tell them to resolve the issue before they sell the car... or take it to a mechanic and have them check it out (you should do that anyway)

sport wheel was part of the sport package BUT also available as a stand alone option. No the wheel does not mean you ahve the sport package.

don't worry about the shift knob, a drop of loctite will fix that...
