I'd like to know why the two Road America events this month are so dissimilar in cost/benefit.

QCUSA/ACCA Road America Event: $375 for a WEEKDAY school, 3 lapping sessions per run group.

BMWCCA Road America Event: $325 for a WEEKEND school, 4 30 minute lapping sessions per run group.

Is BMW affiliated with the track? Does the BMW event's two week later date give them cheaper track rental prices? Even still, I seriously doubt it explains the $50 difference, considering it's on a weekend, which means they've got to pay WAY more for the track. And what's up with the dwindling lapping time sessions at QC events. Last year they got four sessions, this year only 3???

If I recall correctly, and I since I was there last week, we had 6 lapping sessions. These are the 30 minutes sessions out on the track, right? Since I was in the novice group, my instructor drove my car for the first 10 minutes of the first session and then turned it over to me. Three sessions Monday and three more on Tuesday. Hoping to clarify.

Should be cheaper than the weekend school though. Probably anticipating more people at the BMWCCA event. ACCNA event was 135 or so people, and only one rolled car between 7 and 8.

... But It's just too damn expensive, (bang for your buck), compared to other clubs. A shame too, because I like their instructor cadre. But why should I spend the extra money to do the QC school when I can Attend weekend track days with other clubs for half the cost. It's less expensive to drive to Road Atlanta and attend a Panoz School, track weekend, than to participate in a QC school. The banquet is nice, but I don't go to the track to eat, I go to drive.
