to protect your rims and to give you some measure of comfort. U.S. streets are not like the billiard smooth roads of the fatherland. Besides all the rim rebuilding shops stay in business because of the the rice boys and their rubber band tires.

One of my friends has had 18s on his car for about a year and has not had any problems yet.
