Has anyone done a club event at Brainerd? Is it a good event? How long is the track?

My wife has "cleared" me for three club events this year - so it is time for upgrades. My budget is $1,000 +/-. I have a 98.5 2.8 A4. My thoughts were a set of Bridgestone Pole Positions for my stock 16" wheels and new Brembo slotted rotors and Mintex red box pads (the full upgrade is too pricey for me today). Any thoughts?

I had them on my 98.5 A4 2.8, and they were good for street conditions. I hear the compound will start to break apart after heavy track usage.

I had the Zimmerman Cross-drilled and Minxtex Red-Box all around on my car. Braking was improved but I never tracked the car.

Hey Brad. Congrats on the new car. My dad just got the same thing. Do to a lack of garage space on his part, it's mine for a while. I've really enjoyed driving it hard, but I can't wait to do it with the top down. Did you sell the A4 with PES G1? See you around.

Thanks - I went ahead and ordered the C-tech brakes vs. the red box. I decided to save some money and go with the Bridgestone Potenza RE730's so far (200 miles on them) they seem great.
