The North Suburban Sports Car Club is hosting an event on Labor Day. Tech inspection starts at 7:00 with a driver's meeting at 8:40 (Eastern Time). Cost is $90 for non-members. Might be good practice for anyone interested in the LRQC event in October!!!! I'd love to hook-up with a few more drivers for the trip to South Haven. I'm not sure how to attach an address in the forum but this should get you to Midwest Council for more info. www.execpc.com/~mcscc/race10.html
The morning was spent with two practice runs of about 5 laps each, just enough time to start to know the track. The real fun started in the afternoon, everyone got 4 timed runs and these guys are competitive! Alot of race ready mustangs and corvettes, even a decked out AMC AMX, but my personal fav was this black PickUp that's nothing less than a race car with a Dodge Ram body. Someone said it had over 700 horse power and had run in One Lap Of America last year. My best run was 1:49.5. Went out there with a couple friends from Windy City BMW Club and I have to say I was a little disappointed in the Audi showing. Some guy with a TT from Schaumburg and myself were the only two there (about 8 or 9 BMW's). Regardless, it was a great track and I would encourage everyone to get out to it soon and have some fun!
