MRP/Speed is home to North America's largest and best maintained rental fleet. It is one of the few facilities that encourages wheel-to-wheel racing. More than 100 laps will be recorded in a three-hour time frame!
Sample Itinerary:
Hour 1 - Fitting of equipment/safety instruction
Hour 2 - Lapping sessions/driving tips
Lunch
Hour 3 - Time trials/practice race
Hour 4 - "The Showdown" - Wheel to wheel racing!
The Equipment:
The bulk of MRP/Speed's fleet is made up of Italian racing karts with 100-cc Yamaha engines. Just one inch off the ground, these karts are capable of reaching 60 mph. The power and responsiveness is instantaneous. The driver needs to think and plan ahead - utilizing quick reflexes and sharp hand/eye coordination. This is a great method of tuning the mind and body for any sport.
MRP/Speed specializes in introducing the sport of karting to small and large private and corporate parties, providing a perfect platform for employee incentive programs, team building and other corporate goals.
Measurements of heights and weights with the names of the attendees need to be given to MRP at least one week prior to the outing. These measurements assure drivers a comfortable fit in their karts. Then, just show up. But remember, kart racing requires patience, discipline & creativity--bring a thinking cap.
Pricing:
All safety gear, karting equipment, timing devices are included:
10 people = $210/person
20 people = $192.50/person
Also available is kart insurance for $50, and lunch for $16. However, we can self-insure (which means pay for whatever damages we cause to the karts), and we can bring our own lunch if we want. Both lunch and insurance is an "everybody or none" thing. I personally suggest both.
