I guess I am just bragging.... But I installed a Dice this weekend in my 2005.5 S4. The install was not without headaches, but I did it. My mechanical IQ is admittedly not very high. The only "work" I do on my car is to change wheels for track days, and verify that I have enough brake pads before going on the track. Oh yeah, and I fill the windshield wiper fluid. As far as the install goes, I did not have radio removal tools - I made them out of credit cards, and they worked the first time. There were a couple of tricky parts. The radio, the ipod, and the dice did not sync until I unloaded all the CDs in the radio - not in the instructions! The ipod navigation was "erratic" when I connected the ground wire to the a metal car part - the ground wire had to be connected to the radio. And routing the Ipod connector required removing the entire glove box assembly - which came off with only 9 screws. I'd say the job took me about 4 hours. I'll bet a better mechanic could do it in an hour or less. I hope this post encourages people to try to connect their ipod interfaces themselves. It was kind of fun, and very satisfying. Oh yeah, and it sounds MUCH better than the silly tape interface !
