My NAV isn't working anymore(everything else works fine), doesn't recognize the DVD in the drive, & comes up with the error for that drive being defective. I'm getting advice from a few different electronics places that are telling me that the DVD drive & the DVD laser need to be re-aligned, but sadly nobody in the area will actually DO it. So....

Has anyone ever had thier RNS-E repaired? Where did you send it?

(On a side note, my NAV DVD is a copy, & I haven't had the opportunity to try a different disc)

in needing yours replaced. I'd expect Proxus or one of the guys on navplus would be able to take care of it for you if you're not comfortable replacing the drive yourself. If I were still in the DC area I'd be more than happy to help ya out, but I'm in TX nowadays =)

me to be there too. ;-)

I moved to SD in June '07, & been regretting it ever since. How's texas?

I've learned that I may just need a new NAV DVD, as my head unit does play MP3 discs, regular music discs, etc., and my NAV DVD is a copy, so....it's entirely plausible. I'm looking into buying a factory DVD for $180, unless someone comes up with a lower price, or one I can just try, to make sure it works before I spend the coin...

TTYL!
