I believe the HU is a Symphony II unit. But I'm not exactly sure.

Also, how will it connect to the HU? Is there a plug already on the back of the HU or is it just the ports?

Sorry for the lame ???'s but I'm new to Audi car audio.

I'd love to keep the stock HU to keep the look, but I do have a great Pioneer HU that I could install, but I really don't want to do that right now.

Here in Oz all A6 2.7T have nav.

If you do have the Symphony II then the interface should be OK. It's just trying to mimick the CD stacker so that's why it says it's for cars WITHOUT CD stacker attached. The HU has a socket on the back where the stacker plugs into and this will just plug into there instead of the stacker.

but why do you say that all 2.7T A6 cars have Nav? Mine does not.
