Thinking of getting the AVIC-D3 with the bluetooth interface... or getting the AVIC-D3 and sticking with my parrot bluetooth setup (is that even possible?)

How is the sound quality with the D3, and in general has anyone experienced any issues with it? any issues with syncing phonebooks or echoing, etc?

the parrot I have works perfectly..

I love it. Sound quality for user and recipient are excellent. No complaints. I have yet to sync my phone book but it is a fairly simple task. I have a Motorola Q and the voice activated dialing feature of the AVIC works perfectly.

contacts came right up. Sound Quality was very good. Volume goes from soft to almost too loud.

I am about to drop all that money on D3 in my 2007 A4....the car didn't come with the BT so I already was told my BT phone and the D3 won't work with my steering wheel unless I install some special module....but what about the volume controls? Will they still work with D3??
Also, where is the mic in the D3?
I hope this setup (D3 and my cell) will be really hands free - meaning, I can call and answer calls w/o touching the cell phone...how is that works? The HU cuts off the music and send voice from the cell thru the speakers? And then I just talk ?

Thanks!
